About The Founder
Meet Tara Lenore
Tara Lenore holds a professional teaching certificate from the state of Michigan; and has taken Waldorf Classes all the way from kindergarten to middle school.
Her focus is on the whole child and specifically in relationship to the family and its value systems.
Believing that schools can sometimes be restrictive and industrialized--her current approach to working with children is described as: fine-tuning their needs through a structured hour encompassing physical, mental, and emotional connection.
While working as a teacher, she personally felt that she was more of a "guide" and a "mentor", and hates the word "tutoring". That is why she prefers "Excelsior Education" as a more elegant and aspirational term.
The service is ultimately being positioned as long-term mentorship focused on systemic problem-solving to help students achieve academic mastery, rather than just remedial tutoring.
